Decor: Free Space Intent

I’m surprised to find a gem like this in Singapore. I couldn’t find much review for this company on Hmm, smells like exclusivity and sky high prices.

Runner and I saw this while flipping through Home&Decor magazine. It’s clean and contemporary. I love love love the black line that outlines the ceiling. Look! No need for false ceilings 🙂

This ID firm has a penchant for black lines and ceiling lights.

This is a nursery rhyme I learnt in kindergarten. At that time, people were starting to move from Kampong to HDB flats. My guess, this rhyme was created out of a need to foster harmony, especially if you have 100+ households living together in a huge block of concrete.

This is where I’ll be living in the future. Oh.. how slowly it is inching up. Purple arrow is pointing to my block.

This one shows the layout. It is not the correct direction, so you have to imagine rotating it 180 degrees. I really have a crazily long balcony.

Living Study

This website Booli is a treasure trove of interior decor if you like white and fluid lines. All the pictures in this post are from there. I will not retype the credits beneath each picture.

Last week we revisited the Park Central to copy be inspired by their deco. When we first visited the showroom, the living did not wow us immediately. Compared to the opulent and fancier deco of the other 2 showrooms, it is simpler and normal. But well, showroom is a showroom. And being low on budget, we had to grab ideas wherever we can.

In Park Central, the TV wall is covered entirely in mirror. The TV rests on a transparent structure similar to the picture below. Below the structure is a smaller white console. Looks classy. Check out the grey sofa. Lately, I seem to notice more and more grey sofas.

Another umm grey sofa. It goes well with dark red carpet. For future reference.

This one isn’t grey. I love the wall murals. Did you notice it was painted onto a recess? The cabinet complinents the floor and sofa.

Or we could consider a paler sofa and plant a vibrant painting behind it.

Due to space constaints, we might have to forsake the console and put the TV on a stand.

How much does a white TV console cost?

This could very well be my living room. The size of it and balcony.. and oh, grey sofa again. The sofa has no arm rest, which is a good idea to allow for more seating.

It’s been one week, still no letter from age-dee-bee. We need some cheer in our lives,

The clean, pristine and fuss-free lines appeal to me. Maybe some greens here and there will make it more cosy.

Another simple and elegant bedroom. Look at the cabinet at the foot of the bed.

I might paint something like this and angle it on the wall.

Yesterday PY checked the HDB website, found out that our Dawson application was removed! Is this a sign that things are starting to move? I can’t wait 🙂

Reno Ideas – White Clear Space

While it’s too early to find a renovation contractor, PY and I have started discussing about our new home deco. It’s a good thing that our house comes complete with floorings, kitchen and toilet. So all that’s left, is to concentrate our firepower on the living room, master bed room (MBR), 2 bedrooms and balcony.

I love the spacious, clean white look of these living rooms. The walls are white to bring in the sunlight. Sofas are in the hues of white, grey, black. There are bits of wood surfaces like chairs and shelves. Splashes of colors in the paintings and flora livens up the place.
